Rivers United unveil new players





Rivers United have unveiled new players that will‎ represent the football club in the 2018 football season.
The unveiling ceremony took place on Saturday, January 13 at the club’s home ground, the Yakubu Gowon Stadium, Port Harcourt.

Apart from the new players, chief coach, Ndubuisi Nduka was also unveiled on Saturday.
Prince Aggrey, who was among the footballers unveiled expressed readiness to give his all to the ‘Pride of Rivers’ in the upcoming campaign.

“I will wear the number ten jersey and I understand the responsibility that comes with that,” he told our official website, www.riversunitedfc.com.ng.

“I think my contribution will act as a big plus to the team. “Most of the new players that have joined the club are good players; quality players and I believe we will contribute in making this club the best in Nigeria,” Aggrey stated.

 Also speaking after the unveiling ceremony, attacking midfielder, Ochowechi ‘Oche’ Salefu noted that he will look to replicate his displays from last season when he donned the strips Remo Stars, this term, at United.“I want to do even better than what I did for Remo Stars here at Rivers United,” Salefu stated.

On his part, General Manager of Rivers United FC, Chief Okey Kpalukwu explained that it was imperative for the supporters and fans of the club to have a ‘proper glimpse of their new stars’ before the 2018 NPFL season kicks off.

Why l joined El-kanemi - Amakapabo

Maikaba in search for another striker

Akwa United Coach, Abdul Maikaba says he is desperately searching for another striker to complete his recruitment for next season.  Maikaba disclosed after the League Management Company Super Six Invitational in Kano that ‎the striker will be the icing on the cake for him as the new season starts in January.  "Yes I have recruited some good players for next season. But I'm still‎ looking for another striker to complete what I want in the team.  "I know I have good strikers in the team, but Akwa United will be competing in three tournaments next season.  "The League is there.
